Workshops & talks

From the programme to the materials.
A link for each stage.

Before a session, a QR can make registration easier. During and afterwards, it can lead to the speaker’s materials. Distinguish these uses so participants open the right page at the right time.

Your turn

A well-prepared project.

  • Prepare registration with clear conditions

On the poster, link to the participant form and state the date, venue and any registration deadline. Check fields and the confirmation message. Qurl does not manage available places or reminders: those depend on your service.

    Create the form QR
  • Keep a page for the session materials

From the lectern or a handout, open a page with materials approved for sharing. Identify the speaker, subject and edition. If access is for registrants only, retain the service permissions and explain the required sign-in.

    Create a webpage QR

The final details

Before sharing the display.

A QR code decoded on screen is a first check. Also verify the destination and the material actually used.

  1. Do not confuse “Register” and “Download materials” on displays.
  2. Test the display from a seat and keep a short address readable.
  3. Close expired registration and retain a useful archive page after the session.

Good to know

Before getting started.

Can the same QR be used after the talk?

Yes, if the page keeps its address and clearly identifies the edition. Add materials without making an old invitation appear to be open registration for another session.
