Video QR code
Your video.
One scan to find it.
Share a demonstration, tour or video tutorial.
From content to sharing
Three steps to your video QR code.
Copy the playback link
Open your video's sharing options. Get the link intended for viewers, then check permissions: your own account may have access that the public does not.
Create a QR code for the link
Paste the full address. Qurl preserves its parameters and fragment without reading the video, showing a remote thumbnail or adding a tracking intermediary.
Test the whole journey
Scan the final file on a phone, open the link yourself and start playback. Check the video, the intended starting point and any sign-in requests.
To give you an idea
A fictional example.

Fictional address. The t parameter illustrates a starting point; its meaning depends on the player used. Qurl preserves the link without testing playback.
Before sharing
Good habits.
- The video stays with its hosting provider. Playback depends on the connection, service, restrictions and sometimes the app used. Qurl provides neither a video player nor offline access.
- A QR code does not make a private video accessible. On YouTube, people with an unlisted video's link can share it: this setting does not provide confidential access.
- Keep a lasting destination and check it after changes to visibility, accounts or files. A new link does not replace the one already printed in the QR code.
- State the topic and duration on your materials. Provide subtitles or a written version of useful information, plus a readable address for people who cannot scan.
Good to know
Before creating your video QR code.
Can I upload a video to Qurl?
No. This page uses a link to an already hosted video. The logo field only accepts an image to personalise the QR code; it is not a video upload field.
Does it have to be a YouTube link?
No. You can use an HTTP or HTTPS address from your website or another video service. Copy a playback link provided by that service, not an account management address.
Does the video start automatically?
Qurl opens nothing during creation. After scanning, opening and playback depend on the QR reader, browser and video service. Test the journey you expect your viewers to follow.
Can I start the video at a specific point?
If your service provides a link with a starting point, copy the full link. Qurl preserves its parameters; testing in the intended player is the only way to check that the correct point is used.
Does the exported PDF contain the video?
No. It contains the QR code on an A4 page. PNG, SVG and PDF files encode the same address, without a copy of the video.
