QR tools
From QR to paper.
At the right size.
Choose the size, add a caption and create an individual PDF or an A4 label sheet.
From content to sharing
Three simple steps.
Enter your content
The number of modules depends on the content and error correction used. The calculation starts with your actual QR code.
Adjust the dimensions
Choose 0.4, 0.6 or 0.8 mm per module in the settings. The total width includes a four-module quiet zone on each side.
Print one copy
Add a caption if useful. Download the A4 PDF and print at 100%, without fitting to the page. Check the result on the final material.
To give you an idea
A fictional example.
29 modules + 8 modules de marge × 0,6 mm par module = 22,2 × 22,2 mm au total
Geometric example. Your dimensions depend on the content and settings chosen; they do not guarantee a scanning distance.
Before sharing
Good habits.
- Keep the light quiet zone around the QR code free of text and graphics.
- Small modules require precise printing. Paper, contrast and the scanning device also matter.
- The calculation does not promise a scanning distance: test at actual size before a print run.
- PDF dimensions apply to PNG or SVG only if you place them at the same size in your layout.
Good to know
A few useful pointers.
Why does the size change with my content?
Longer content may need more modules. With a fixed module size, the QR code then takes up more space.
Is the quiet zone included?
Yes. The total width is (number of symbol modules + 8) × module size. A four-module quiet zone is kept on each side.
Can I add an instruction under the QR code?
Yes. The optional PDF caption accepts up to 120 characters and four lines. It stays outside the quiet zone and does not change the encoded data. PNG and SVG contain only the QR code. Check the characters in the preview.
Which option should I choose in the print dialog?
Select 100% or actual size. Turn off fit-to-page scaling, then measure and test the first copy.
